YACHT CONTROLLER FOR VOLVO NEW ELECTRONICS EVC 2.0

We are pleased to announce the full compatibility of our products YACHT CONTROLLER Dual Band Series and the new Nemesis Series with Volvo original interface for EVC 2.0

After having reached agreement with VOLVO last year to supply their original interface to us, we are now able to interface any VOLVO control head and this will provide the highest level of wireless control available in the market.

The YACHT CONTROLLER coupled with VOLVO’s interface will be supplied as a package system directly from YACHT CONTROLLER Italian Manufacturing facility worldwide through Yacht Controller’s distribution network.

Now celebrating 20 years since the invention of the first YACHT CONTROLLER wireless system for controlling boats, we are proud to be recognized once again for our quality and reliability by another one of the most important Engine and Control Manufacturer’s VOLVO.

DUAL BAND

The Yacht Controller Dual Band model is the latest technological advance in the field of remote wireless controls for boat mooring.
Technologically even more advanced than the original patented Yacht Controller model, the DUAL BAND version has finally left behind its many imitators. By operating on two completely separate frequency bands, the Yacht Controller Dual Band model makes your mooring procedure even safer than before, by eliminating external interference from any nearby unscreened devices that do not comply with the legal requirements for wireless transmissions. When your receiver is turned on, a switch on the transmitter handset gives you full control over the mooring operations.
The special silicone membrane switches are robust enough to withstand more than 200,000 movements. The transmitter is waterproof and will float if dropped overboard.

The new DUAL BAND receiver is a technological revolution. It features the following improvement:

• A double receiver operating on two separate frequency bands, ensuring perfect operation even when there is external interference or when either of the two bands is out of service.

• A multiprocessor structure (a central CPU with a microprocessor for each function) that gives you two levels of control over each function, making unintended commands impossible to execute should anything go wrong.

• Double relays for each command output, preventing unintended activation.

• A modular design that can be easily modified to add new functions. If you change your boat you won’t need to buy a new Yacht Controller. You simply replace an internal card and can continue to operate your new boat with

  different controls.

• LEDs on the front of the receiver unit confirm that the electronics are operating correctly, tell you which commands are being activated, and provide details of any malfunctions.

• A beeper warns you should you lose connection to the transmitter, signals the various states of operation, and has an alarm to advise you of any malfunction.

DUAL BAND PLUS

BOAT MANOUVERING SYSTEM WITH ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS

• Natural evolution of the Dual Band, the Dual Band plus brings some features until today available only on the En-Joy model (wireless joystick).

• Yacht Controller Dual Band Plus is equipped too with a double band of transmission that transmit simultaneously on both bands to avoid any interference caused by the presence of any nearby devices, not compliant with the law.

• Two flashing LEDs on the transmitter show you when you are transmitting on the two separate frequencies.

• On the transmitter there’s the button that allows, with the receiver switched on, the engage.

• In addition, he also adopts the special silicone membrane levers, guaranteed for over 200,000 movements, to simultaneously control the two engines, the stern and bow thruster and the anchor winch (eventually a second winch option is also available), for an easier and safer mooring.

• The transmitter is water resistant and floating.

• The battery compartment on the back, also watertight, makes it quick and easy to change the three AAA batteries, easy to find wherever you are.

• The receiver working on two different bands of frequency ensures the perfect operation even in case of external interference or failure of one of the bands.

• The multiprocessor structure (a central CPU and a microprocessor for each function) and the double relay for each output command allow a double control of each function, making unwanted commands impossible.

• Also in Dual Band Plus the design is modular, and can be easily modified to add new functions. If the owner purchase a new boat it won’t be necessary to purchase a new Yacht Controller but simply to replace a module in case of different control heads.

• The leds on the front panel of the receiver report the correct functioning of the electronics, the status of the active commands and, in case of malfunction, the type of failure.

• The beeper indicates not only the loss of the connection with the transmitter but also the different states of operation and alarm.

• The Yacht Controller Dual Band Plus adds to all this also the “Acceleration” option and the “automatic” option, where engines and bow and stern thrusters can be used simultaneously, the possibility to connect two different anchor winches while maintaining the chance to integrate the product with the Yacht Controller Dual Band, En-Joy and JCS Plus.

The use of Yacht Controller Dual Band Plus is very easy:

The electronic control levers of the boat must be positioned in neutral, enable the Yacht Controller receiver using the switch on the dashboard and switch on the transmitter Yacht Controller Dual Band Plus, and press the engage button on the transmitter. From now on the system is operational.

To operate the engines and the bow and stern thrusters it will be necessary to keep the levers pressed in correspondence with the desired direction.

To activate the anchor winch, simply press the buttons corresponding to the desired functions.

To activate the acceleration function, just press the “S” button.

There are 5 different acceleration profiles that can be customized upon customer request.

Moreover, in case of adding a further receiver, it will be possible to activate other functions on the vessel, such as gangways control, automatic doors, etc.

Removing the pressure from ANY lever, the system will return to “Neutral” mode.

All these features and other more, condensed in a wireless joystick remote endowed with a micro joystick certified following the hardest norms. It’s enough to position the levers of the electronic commands of the boat in neutral position, to switch-on YACHT CONTROLLER EN-JOY, to turn the transmitter ON and take the control by pressing a button on the handset. The system is now fully operational and from any point of the boat, with the sole movement of a finger, will be simultaneously activated the DX and SX engines and the bow and stern thrusters, allowing the boat to maneuver in any direction, simply, without risks and dangers, with precision and relax. Removing the pressure on the joystick transmitter, the system will automatically go in neutral position. The installation is simple and fast, all it is necessary is to connect the receiver to the control head and to the switches/joysticks of the thrusters. JCS PLUS

Yacht Controller JCS PLUS can be used alone or integrated with the popular and UNIQUE wireless remote control mooring systems, Yacht Controller DUAL BAND and/or Yacht Controller SMART . With a simple movement of the hand, the Joystick JCS allows simultaneous operation of the motors and of the bow and stern thrusters, enabling you to moor and move the boat in any direction simply, without risk and danger, precisely and with total ease.

Yacht Controller JCS PLUS is very easy to install, with no difficult, invasive and costly work in the engine room; moreover, it does not require cables to be installed along the length of the boat but, after identifying the type of electronic throttle control installed on board, it is installed rapidly in proximity of the control station selected, either on the flybridge or in the saloon. Moreover, if the boat is already equipped with a Yacht Controller Smart or a Yacht Controller DUAL BAND system, it can be installed simply by attaching a connector to the receiver already installed aboard. Unlike other joysticks present on the market, Yacht Controller JCS PLUS offers maximum flexibility thanks to its automatic and manual modes. In automatic mode, the motors and the thrusters are used simultaneously to facilitate mooring manoeuvres even for those with less sailing experience. In manual mode, the thrusters can be activated as required, both together with the motors or separately, for better control of the manoeuvre you wish to perform.

Yacht Controller JCS PLUS is also the only one equipped with a control panel with LCD screen, also visible in sunlight, which has a clear and practical design of the boat with indication of motors and thrusters, showing you exactly what is activated in the manoeuvres being performed. The JCS panel can be used to configure the various operating modes, select language, units of measurement, accurate diagnostics and many other features.

With throttle controls equipped with digital protocol, it can be used to manage acceleration, with different settings depending on the percentage of acceleration selected and its supply time. If the windlass (single or double) option is present, the weighing/lowering function with chain counter can be controlled from the JCS panel. It can also be integrated with the function SSS (Secure Sail System) developed by MZ Electronic, which allows retrieval at standard speed during weighing of the anchor up to the last 3 metres of chain, subsequently slowing down progressively to retrieve the anchor at minimum speed. This prevents the risk of damage and protects the windlass from harmful jerking that can cause breakage. System will stop anchor when totally weighed.
